Litigation Immigration Matters: Practical Tips to Consider Before Taking Legal Action
Legislative changes in immigration law have not occurred since 1996. Lately, Presidents have broadly used their authority to issue executive orders, proclamations and other regulatory guidance to shape immigration policy through the various Departments that oversee and decide on immigration benefits – ending with inconsistent practices by these Departments which have left many individuals in the business world frustrated. This friction has led to an uptick in court filings (i.e. writs of mandamus). This session has the following objectives:

• Provide examples of why individuals and companies decide to file immigration lawsuits against the Government;
• The Do’s and Don’ts of filing a law suit – what drives US Attorneys Crazy; and
• The Practical/Business reasons for filing a lawsuit.

Join Business Immigration Attorney Sang Shin of Jackson Walker as they walk you through the recent uptick in immigration litigation.
